Cookie Policy
Last updated: September 5, 2026
How abackaudio.com uses cookies and browser storage, and why your audio is never among them.
This policy explains the cookies and local storage technologies used on Aback Audio, what they store, and how you can control them.
We only store preferences, never audio
Aback Audio's tools are fully client-side. The only persistent items we write are small preference flags in your browser's localStorage. No cookie, cache, or storage item ever contains your audio files or their contents.
1. What are cookies and web storage?
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Web storage (localStorage) works similarly but never travels with network requests automatically. Aback Audio primarily uses localStorage for lightweight preferences.
2. Storage we use
Our tools write only these browser-local preference flags:
3. Third-party advertising
The Service may show advertising through third-party networks such as Google AdSense, which can set their own cookies to measure ad performance and frequency. These cookies never contain your audio, filenames, or file metadata. You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google's Ads Settings.
4. How to control cookies
You can block or delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Doing so will not break the audio tools. At most, you will need to reselect your theme preference.
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
5. Updates to this policy
We may update this policy when storage or advertising practices change. The 'Last updated' date above reflects the latest revision.

Cookie questions
Do you use cookies to track my audio?
No. Audio never enters cookies, storage, or network requests. Cookies only hold preference flags and advertising measurement.
What happens if I disable cookies?
The audio tools continue to work. You will simply be asked to pick your theme again if you clear storage.
Does the cookie banner affect tool function?
No. Choosing 'Essential only' disables non-essential advertising cookies but keeps every audio tool fully functional.
