About Aback Audio
Aback Audio is a privacy-first, browser-native audio toolkit. We build free utilities for compressing, converting, cutting, and merging audio, and every single one runs on your own device.
Your audio belongs to you
Most audio websites ask you to upload a file before they will touch it. We think that is backwards. Aback Audio ships the processing to your browser: decoding uses the native Web Audio API and encoding runs on local WASM codecs, so your recordings never cross the network. There is no upload endpoint, no processing queue, and no account required.

Is Aback Audio really free?
Yes. Every tool is free with no watermarks, no daily limits, and no sign-up. The site is supported by unobtrusive ads that never receive your audio.
Where does processing happen?
Entirely in your browser tab. Files are decoded with the Web Audio API, processed as PCM, and encoded with WASM codecs (MP3, OGG, FLAC) loaded into your session.
Which formats are supported?
Reading: WAV, MP3, FLAC, OGG, and M4A/AAC (subject to browser support). Writing: WAV, MP3, FLAC, and OGG with quality controls where the codec allows.
Who is Aback Audio for?
Musicians, podcasters, voice-note hoarders, teachers, and anyone who needs a quick audio fix without surrendering their files to a server.
Do you sell my audio?
We cannot, because we never receive it. Your audio is processed locally and never uploaded to Aback infrastructure for normal tool execution.
